Ingredients
🌴 100 grams pitted dates halved
🍶 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons vegetable white vinegar
🌿 A small piece of cinnamon
🌶️ 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
🧂 1/4 teaspoon salt
🌸 4 cloves
Instructions
1- Prepare Dates:
- Take 100 grams of dates and remove the seeds. Cut them in half and place them into a sterilized glass jar.
2- Prepare Vinegar Mixture:
- Measure 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons of vegetable white vinegar, and pour it into a clay pot.
- Add in a small piece of cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper powder, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 4 cloves.
- Place the pot on an electric stovetop, set heat to medium-high, and stir using a wooden spoon.
- Allow the mixture to come to a boil, then immediately turn off the heat.
3- Combine and Cool:
- Pour the hot vinegar mixture over the dates in the glass jar.
- Let the contents cool completely within the jar without the lid.
4- Seal and Mature:
- Once cooled, seal the jar tightly with a lid and shake well to mix the ingredients.
- Store in a cool, dark place and shake the jar daily for 8 to 10 days to ensure even soaking and flavor distribution.
- The dates achcharu will be ready to enjoy after this maturation period.
