Speaking of sunsets, I have to write about them for my Throwback Thursday blog, as I remember when we visited Bakhawan Family Beach Resort in Daanbantayan, Cebu. My family’s purpose there was to have a complete break from adulthood, but mine was to search for sunsets, since one of my friends shared how beautiful the sea in Bakhawan is by five in the afternoon. And since I am a fan of beaches, alongside mountains, I didn’t think twice about going with them and visiting the place where I made a perfect memory with my loved ones.
For context, Bakhawan Family Beach Resort in Daanbantayan is a quiet, coastal, commercialized resort best for families and small groups searching for a relaxing seaside experience. On the beach, I found a beautiful shoreline, gentle rolling waves, and an open space suitable for outdoor activities like walking and fun. What I like about this resort is that the design and architecture are not overwhelming, but rather homey and comforting. The resort, when we arrived, was welcoming, and I wasn’t even drained throughout the whole stay.
The ambiance of Bakhawan is so appealing and pleasing to tourists, especially for those who prefer a seaside experience that is calm and natural. With its peaceful sea view, relaxing sea breezes, and the beauty of the coast, Bakhawan is a gem in the coastal area of northern Cebu. As a family-oriented destination, the beach was a place for a comfortable retreat where we could safely and enjoyably spend quality time together in this very charming place in Daanbantayan.
Since it is charming, the sunset in Bakhawan truly is one. Unlike the other sunsets I have witnessed in Lapyahan Coast, which is also beautiful, the one in Bakhawan is another way of being a sunset. It was a perfect, vibrant, and picturesque sunset experience. I witnessed the sunset on the wooden deck by the sea, with palm trees and soft lights. A small pergola with chairs looks out over calm water, and the scene feels quiet and relaxing. The sunset occurred gradually and was so perfect when it reached its full bloom.
Sunsets really are a great phenomenon, aren’t they? It takes a life and an eye to appreciate them or even to notice them. So much love can be seen in this natural occurrence, and I hope to see them again soon.
