byA group of extremists known as the Right Sector have taken up arms and taken control of several police facilities in Crimea. In a video posted on YouTube, the group describes itself as an “alternative” to the parliament in Kiev and the government of acting president Oleksandr Turchynov.The Right Sector was formed in 2012 by several volunteer battalions that were comprised of a variety of right wing extremist groups, including Svoboda (Freedom), and the Azov Battalion.
