You need to go to Steemitwallet.com A while back Steemit and the wallet were separated. From the wallet site you can know do only wallet things. Also with Steem you can actually send the Steem tokens to your username, not a ridiculous long address as is common for other coins. Do also search with Google for Steem articles about this. That is how I found out what to do exactly. I did have the same problem.
