This post is not an argument in favor of absolutes. Rather it is a longing for honesty. Must public personalities always deny their failures? Must public opinion be so judgmental?
Shortly, the public will feast on the bones of prominent political and social stars who have been deceiving us for generations. Hillary and Bill, Barbara and George, Francis and Jimmy...scores of couples with millions of supporters are merely not worthy of their fame. Skeletons hang in the closets of almost everyone.
Jesus once stopped a murderous mob who were about to stone a woman who had been caught in the act of breaking the law. The story suggests He said... “ Let him who is without sin cast the first stone. “
There is no absolute solution. Crime, sin, and ‘bad’ people have been and will always be.
Many religions have employed ‘fear’ of eternal hell as a motivation to follow moral and ethical behavior. This strategy along with legislated social behavior has never been effective.
Good people normally had good parents in good families... but not always.
