While writing this post, my body is still suffering due to the sunburn I got from the sun radiation when we have traveled on the beach together with my family.
What is Sunburn?
According to Mayoclinic
Sunburn is red, painful skin that feels hot to the touch. It usually appears within a few hours after too much exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light from sunshine or artificial sources, such as sunlamps. Home remedies can usually provide sunburn relief, but sunburn may take days to fade.
Intense, repeated UV light exposure that results in sunburn increases the risk of other skin damage, such as dark spots, rough spots, and dry or wrinkled skin. It also raises the risk of skin cancers such as melanoma.
Our beautiful sun is not our friend all the time, it has Ultraviolet (UV) rays that can damage our skin cells and if UV rays exceed what can be blocked by your level of melanin, sunburn results and this is what I am enduring for now :)
Perhaps, I miss the beach so much that it took me 2 years before getting there because of the coronavirus pandemic restriction we are facing in our present time.
Nothing I can do for now so I will just write my experience so it can be a good lesson to everyone who has a plan of getting some exposure to the sun.
My highly recommended is to get sunscreen/sunblock to protect yourself from Sun's Ultraviolet Radiation. Sunscreen is different from sunblock, we can choose what is the best fit for your personal needs, for an individual that has sensitive skin the expert is recommending using sunblock rather sunscreen.
I guess this is what they called Fun now, suffer later (lol :D)
