Acapulco has different beaches to visit according to your purpose, surfing, swimming, sunbathing, etc. Majahua beach, located in Puerto Marquez Bay, is a beautiful, and calm beach where families go to have a relaxing day swimming in the ocean.
One of the attractions there is that some locals carry a huge iguana and a little crocodile that you can hold for a photo. Of course, they ask for some money in exchange, but it's a small amount, around 20-40 mexican pesos aprox.
This is me holding the iguana. I chose to only hold the iguana but the man decided it would be fun to place the croc on my head. Not funny!!!
It's very common to see iguanas in Acapulco, some people eat them, personally I've never tried them, and never will. It's a protected species, as well as turtles.
