Actually many things are not yet known from Aceh. This province seems to store a mystery that seems to be out of exposed until the end of time.
Many researchers have done the research. Their results suggest that the Acehnese language has something to do with Campa languages which are still used in Vietnam, Cambodia and Hainan in China. The existence of the Acehnese relation with Campa languages existing in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Hainan in China seems reasonable.
Based on historical records, a prince from Campa, Šah Pu Liaŋ (liŋ) was expelled from his capital by the Vietnamese nation. He then sought refuge in Aceh, then formed a new family (Lombard, 2007: 62). Of course, the formation of new dynasties has greatly influenced the use of the Acehnese language as their communication tool.
There are also experts who say that the language of Aceh has something to do with local languages in Indonesia, such as Arabic, Malay, Indonesian, Sanskrit, Persian, Tamil, Dutch, Portuguese, English and from Mon-Khmer in Southeast Asia.
The above explanation proves that Aceh has always had a relationship with outer nations. This of course can not be denied especially if we remember that Aceh in the time of Sultan Iskandar Muda never reached the top of glory.
