This bird is known as Pycnototus aurigaster species. it’s also familiarly called The Sooty-Headed Bulbul because this is one of songbird from bulbul family (pycnonotidae). This beautiful bird easy found in south-eastern Asia, and his natural habitat is in tropical or subtropical moist lowland forest.
In Aceh province, Indonesia,most of peoples called it “Beurijuek”. This bird has a unique and diverse song. Every early morning, we can heard this bird gives a various and unique songs like as natural harmony. Actually, Beurijuek is originally described in the genus Turdus. His name also included the golden-vented bulbul or even several names used for the many species. The another species including black-capped, red-vented, white-eared and yellow-vented bulbul.
I took this picture at the corn garden behind of my home in Tangse, Pidie district, Aceh. Approximately for an hour I waited impatiently for the bird landed down on the ground looking for food.
