It's Saturday!
Didn't meet any cats again, though, so again I've got nothing for a caturday post... bummer.
What I do have, though, is a lot of steps on the counter and photographic evidence that autumn has at least half way arrived by now.
I've been walking a whole lot today. First of all, since I made my report for yesterday after midnight while still out and about chasing pokemon with Hazel, I already had a score locked down before I even went to bed. And then we were out all afternoon again today.
The walking today was probably more utilitarian than recreative. We went to the hardware store to pick up some stuff to improve Huckleberry's living situation. It's quite the walk but the weather was nice, so we decided against taking the car.
Well, then we found this super cheap terrarium, and decided to get a bunch of more stuff, not just the little doodads we had initially anticipated and definitely way too much to carry on foot. Yeah, so we walked back just to drive back out again.
But hey, all worth the while! Lots of fresh air and Huckleberry gets to have his own private Garden now, too.
This isn't the final location and I still haven't managed to get a decent picture of the little rodent lately. He hates lights and he wont sit still anywhere unless it's a dark and tight space... preferably the inside of my sweatshirt's sleeve.
Then we also went out for another quick round around the block to catch a few more pokemon and there was this snail trying to cross the walkway.
Of course we rescued it, but no, this time we didn't take it home to raise it with milk from a syringe and then end up living with it permanently, no, we simply picked it up and carried it over into the next open front lawn.
As always: Thanks for your time!
