I've used Actifit's account creation service for pretty much every app account I've built on Hive. It's $2 USD, it's always worked, and I've never had a problem. Until now.
I made the transfer, got an error telling me to reach out on Discord or email, so I did. Here's the transfer:
I joined their Discord, went through their captcha verification, got verified as a human, posted in the help channel with my username and that screenshot. Waited a day. Nothing. Tagged the mods. Asked if there was anything specific I needed to do to get someone to respond.
Then the server disappeared from my list.
Someone in the main Hive Discord sent me an invite and it showed I was banned.
So to be absolutely clear about what happened here: their service failed, I asked for help with full on-chain verifiable proof, and they banned me without a single response.
This isn't incompetence that accidentally looked like dishonesty. This is just dishonesty. The chain shows the transfer. The chain shows the account was never created. That takes about ten seconds to verify and they couldn't be bothered, or didn't want to bother, because issuing a refund is harder than hitting ban.
I'm not some anonymous account. I've been building on Hive for years. Anyone who spent five seconds looking would have known the support request was legitimate. Nobody looked.
The $2 is irrelevant. What's relevant is that Actifit is running a paid service on a public blockchain and using that same blockchain's transparency as cover while quietly pocketing money and banning people who follow up. That's a bad faith operation.
I won't be recommending them again. If you're building on Hive and you need accounts, find another way.
