Look at that, 10k on a Saturday no work today took my boy and his two friends to the indoor bouncy castles fun zone - just imagine a ton of bouncy castles stuck together indoors with slides, agility courses and walls to climb and bounce off. They worked up a sweat and thirst, although the real dairy ice creams did not impress “it’s like a frozen yoghurt” my boy said - I ate his it was ok - his friends struggled through most of theirs.
It’s a good deal for his friends, I take them all sorts of places and pay for them to have fun. 9 year old boys - you can imagine they are a lively bunch together - they have fun though and that‘s important I think. These years of care free just living should be for just that - living and having fun while they have no responsibilities and no worries. Sure they will have to man up in future - take responsibility and educate themselves enough to earn a living - but it’s a long way off and right now having fun together and enjoying life - the moment that’s what should be important.
After the bouncy castles we hit the local park they like the most, the grass was wet and soggy from all the recent rain - but it was as dry and mild so we had a good walk around, they played on the swings and slides and we adventured in the woodlands and some spooky abandoned buildings.
Your a long time dead someone wise once said, get out there and have fun while you can. And let the young ones have their fun, sure they might jump off something too high and hurt an ankle, race around and slip grazing a knee - but they learn from it and getting mucky, grazed and worn out is part of real life learning.
