I spent today at Charlestown High School for the Boston Debate Leagues City Championship Tournament. We had three teams compete, one Novice and two JV. My Novice debater Franco, was amazing and won the Novice division. My JV team, Niko and Kris, made it to the final round. While they lost in 2-1 decision, it is an amazing accomplishment, considering this was there third tournament.
Alan (the other coach) and I were a liitle teary eyed all day as Westie is closing at the end of the school year. But we went in style! Afterwards Alan and I went out for a drink and reminced about our 8 1/2 seasons together as the Westie debate coaches.
