Yesterday morning I thought I'd better start early as the heat is usually working against me, it's way better to walk when is not so hot. So I went for a walk in the morning, chose a route with hills and stairs as usual to burn more calories and also made sure to keep up the tempo and not just walk like retired people. It was a nice walk especially because of the chilly temperature.
After that it was time to pedal some to reach the 10k minimum. This time I paid attention to what I was doing and made sure not to sleep on the bike and up the tempo every time it was needed. In 33 minutes I've managed to pedal 16.3km which I guess it's a personal best for me as I've never monitored my performance so strictly. Last time my performance in 33 minutes was 14.3km. This is a step forward, it means I've managed to burn more calories.
A few days ago I mentioned some shoulder pain that has been preventing me from doing my core muscle training. The pain is gone now and last night I was able to resume my Swiss ball training with weights this time. I've been waiting for this moment and voilà, it's here.
Lifting weight sitting on a Swiss ball is very different from lifting weight standing on the ground. The ball is moving constantly, even if these are small moves and controlling your body, trying to stay still and keep a good posture while lifting weight it works a lot of muscles in your entire body. This is why I see this kind of training more suitable for me, no matter how small that weight is.
For now I chose to do sets of 10, then increase to 15, then do two to three sets with 30 and 60 sec break between sets. I'm not an expert but I've been working with an ex body builder in the past who helped me with some trainings and I know doing hundreds of repeats of one exercise is useless, that would do nothing good to your body after a time. You have to change your exercises constantly and work three muscle groups one time.
So this is it for yesterday, today is a new day that has already started.
