Today a, more or less, relaxed Boxing Day in the center of the north island of New Zealand. A Merry X-mas to all of you by the way, hope you had a great day with family and/or friends.
I'm now staying with relatives in Taupo, where we had an English-style breakfast with bacon, eggs, patatoes and hash browns. A good start of the day!
Then we went back up North again to Rotorua, where I did a couple of tourist attractions. I did a luge run, went to a traditional Maori show and a park with volcanic activity. Somehow I did manage to reach 11k steps in the meantime, so not too bad.
I am now preparing for the Tongariro Crossing, a nearly 20km hike through the mountains, so that should make a decent report tomorrow. 😉
