Ugg, I have been slacking big time on writing. I have been trying to get the arduino working, much to my dismay, and that has enveloped a large amount of my time. Th weather has been cold and moist which lends itself to inside projects.
The highlight of the day was Scouts in the evening. J and I went for our normal Wednesday meeting and this was the monthly pack meeting. This is where the awards are given to any Scout that has earned them. This meeting J got 3 of his achievement awards and is now 2 away from his Lion rank. After he gets rank then we will keep working on all the rest of the activities until he graduates from kindergarten and begins work on the Tiger rank.
At the pack meetings the scouts all get armour, plastic, that they get to wear while they are given awards and achievments. J was stoked to have a set as were the rest of the Scouts. Along with the loops the Scouts also got their awards for the popcorn sales. The patch is pretty cool and each got a choice item. J got a whistle for his survival kit and he is already trying to learn morse code with it..... indoors......
Today was the school concert, I got my new laptop, new monitor, and subsequently fucked my Ubuntu drive up.... F.M.L!!! I will figure it out but it is a major pain in the ass. At least I have a solid recent backup to work with.
Saturday will be extra busy with the yearly co-op meeting in the morning and then a Spokane Chiefs hockey game that evening with J for Scouts night.
