Today I participated in a Eucharistic Procession for the Feast of Corpus Christi. Catholics believe that Communion Hosts (bread) become the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus when they are Consecrated by a Priest.
A Eucharistic Procession is when one of the Consecrated hosts is put in a special decorative metal stand called a monstrance. Usually a Priest or Deacon carries the Monstrance at the front, and the people follow behind, singing songs and praying.
It rained today, but with lots of umbrellas we did OK. Have a good week!
