I believe each day we make a million small choices which alter the trajectory of our lives, for better or worse.
With that in mind, tomorrow is the first day of my six week, 500,000 step challenge, and I am calling it the 500k Challenge.
500K Challenge
Yup, I aim to step 500,000 times over the next 42 days.
Why? Health, strength, weight loss, and as a test of my will.
Also my office has organized a fitness challenge wherein the participants can win a new Fitbit, and of course I'd love that.
One of the fitness challenge components is to do 10,000 steps a day, everyday, for 42 days, but why stop there? I am aiming for a full and even 500,000 over 6 weeks, or approx 12,000 steps per day.
Half a million steps, now that's a goal.
During my fitness challenge I will measure my body fat and inches weekly, and when I do, and I will post the progress here.
Steps are just one of my daily goals. Also I will be playing sports, journaling, and eating only fresh foods. In case you're interested I will link the full fitness challenge checklist, which lists all my goals.
After all this, hopefully in 42 days I will be stronger, slimmer and wearing a NEW fitbit.
