My genealogy group, the Western Montana Genealogy Society, held a free event on Saturday! We did a Genealogy Roadshow where people could come and work with one of our members to get help researching their family.
We had a full house for most of the 4 hours, with a steady trickle of people coming in to see us!
Each attendee got 15-20 minutes with one of the volunteers. And once the lines had calmed down, some folks got 45 or more minutes to work with someone.
It was a very good test run of the idea for my group and we plan to travel to a few underserved towns in the region and do this again!
After the cleanup was done, I headed home to have a relaxing afternoon with and the cats. I head to Cincinnati on Monday morning and need to pack and do laundry today.
