So it’s my birthday weekend, and I have to say, now that it’s here I am all about it. Birthdays are so funny, aren’t they? When it’s on the horizon, you might have mixed emotions, especially if it’s a milestone birthday. You might be tempted to tell people not to do anything for your birthday. I mean, it’s just a birthday. Everyone has them. What’s so important about it?
Then all of a sudden, if you’re like me, you want things just so. It turns out that it does actually feel important.

It might not be about being the center of attention, or getting a lot of gifts, right? That’s what makes it so odd. Don’t you just want it to be good?
Okay, I’ll just talk about me here, and stop conjecturing about you.
On my birthday (and by that I mean the day of and the days before and after), I want things to feel great. You know what I mean? I want the stress to float away, the friends and family to be near, the morning coffee to taste wonderful. That sort of thing. Is it just me?
I don’t want a lot of fuss, but I don’t want my birthday to go by without doing something special.
On that note, I have orchestrated a series of small get togethers. I think it’s going to be just what I need. I just want to commemorate this occasion, and for it to be relaxing, enjoyable, memorable and fun.
How about you? What makes your birthday great?
Thanks for visiting my blog! And yes, I will be posting about my birthday all weekend! 😆
