My first skiing experience again in five years. Was I still on my A-game or was this going to be a nice laugh for all spectators.
I was so curious about the first day that I was on my skis again. Is skiing the same as riding a bike? As in...once you have learned it, you will always know how to do it. Or would I be super scared all of a sudden, have absolutely no technique anymore, and my gear would have rotted away in a basement in Holland while I was still chilling in the Caribbean?
Well, one thing that I have realized today as that is a certainty in life, nothing goes as planned. As in… Because of a storm hovering around here, most lifts were closed, the visuals were poor, and gear failure (broken ski) was also even around at the end of the day. You can’t have it all right?
But was it perfect? Yeah, of course it was. Being outdoors, skiing with fine people, begin medium content of my performance… I can’t complain honestly I guess.
Actifit
One thing that I have noticed is that my activity tracker of the day did not work as I head wanted actually. The is mostly because of the position that I had my phone while skiing. I have phone close to my upper body because of the cold (well actually it wasn’t cold at all), and this absolutely does not register the movement very proper. According to my actifit I have something over 2000 steps activity, while in reality I made somewhere around 50 kilometers of descending today. I guess this is more of a problem of my phone than of the actifit actually, I am going to try to see if I can make anything different about this.
Ow yeah, visuals?
