My number is 15K today.
The weather was nice here in Charlotte North Carolina today. It was warm and sunny. I went outside and saw these lovely roses on the side of where I am staying.
Then I went on a nice long walk on the walking trail and met a neighbor that I walked with for a while. She's a very pleasant woman and we had a nice conversation.
When I got home and plugged back in to my online life, I noticed friends checking in to say they are okay and that they were sending out good thoughts and prayers for those affected by the shooting. I quickly learned that there was a shooting at the local college, UNCC, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. This school is 15 minutes up the road from me and I've been there many times. I have a relative who goes there and she was quite shocked to be involved in something like this. I saw her in the local television coverage and I could see it in her face.
She was not hurt.
My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected. Everyone stay safe and take care of each other out there.
