Not the most physical activity I’ve ever had, but not a bad day in general. Woke up a little earlier and made myself actually do stuff, which is cool. Tired, but I slept better last night than I have recently in general so I think I’m headed in the right direction.
Got some writing done, and got some feedback from a professor on an assignment I was concerned about. Turned out I did pretty well on it, so that’s a relief. In fact, she even complimented my writing skills by saying that I show a lot of breadth to my work. Of course I do, because my biggest problem is that I have the stamina of a gerbil and only get a few hundred words into any given project.
I had hoped to post the next Velotha’s Flock piece today, but I did not get around to that. I worked on two other games, though, both Underbelly–the one I did last week in five hours–because it needed some editing passes ahead of upcoming playtests and BIOREAKTOR, which should be coming out by the end of October and is shaping up as a fun lite-serious game. I don’t know what that means, but I’m coining the term.
Since I’ve gotten the core mechanic of BIOREAKTOR done, I think that it won’t take too much longer; maybe next week or the week after.
Looking forward to having another small game. I’ve put Waystation Deimos up on itch.io, but I haven’t put put my longer and larger projects from DriveThruRPG up yet. I’m going to release BIOREAKTOR simultaneously both places and compare the results.
