I rode my ebike eight miles today up a mountain overlook. You can see the Puget Sound off in the distance in the background beyond my bike:
The more I ride this bike the more I like it. It is wonderful to ride in an upright way without any special shoes and feel like you are easily going down the road. The hills are very fun when you don't have to worry at all about using up the battery. On a short trip like this the battery hardly goes down at all and partly recharges on the downhill.
I'm parked right by a short concrete ramp. It looks like it is closed off now but might have been used at one time. My guess is that people might have been doing hang gliding here. There doesn't look like there was much of a landing area. If the wind was not just right I would be worried about landing in a tree but I've never done that kind of thing myself so I don't know much about it.
It just looks like a dangerous place to be launching a glider. There is a warning in the concrete that reads, "HOOK IN!"
When I was younger I used to think hang gliding would be fun but I never tried it. I think that if I ever tried it I would like to do it somewhere with a clear area for landing and not so many trees.
The rest of the steps were from walking the dog and doing some things around the house.
