It was a bit rainy later this afternoon and nice in the morning. I mowed the lawn in the early afternoon.
By the time I was done it was just starting to drizzle just a little bit but I went a ride anyway. I figured that even if it rained harder the fenders would keep most of the rain off me. As it turned out it never rained hard enough to cause any problems.
I went for about ten miles through some nice country roads just for fun. Being able to stop anywhere and take pictures is a nice thing about bike riding. The two photos below I took from the side of the road.
It is really nice to be able to hear all the bird noises. There were several hummingbirds flying around and some chickens and other wild birds making noises too.
You can really smell a lot more things while out riding your bike too. When it is just starting to rain it seems like the smells are very nice.
Here's a picture of one of the lakes around here with some hills in the background:
I figured out how to set my ebike to go a bit faster. It is a very easy adjustment to set the control to max out at 40 kph. This translates into about a 25 mph motor assisted top speed. This is a bit more acceptable than 20 mph but I remember in the old days having a 30 mph top speed on a gas powered moped. I guess your not supposed to go as fast if your pedaling and using electrons.
