It was still foggy this morning but a lighter shade of fog and warmer, so I headed down to the eighteen basket disc golf course to play a round with my friend. He showed up a bit late so I practiced my forehand and putting a bit.
My forehand had been getting a bit rusty because my favorite course doesn't require forehand much. The new course has a lot of forehand friendly baskets and one that is kind of dangerous to throw backhand because of the disc possibly fading into the river.
All the practice paid off and when my friend showed up I played a really good round. It was one of the better rounds I have played lately. I won with a minus two score to his plus five on the eighteen basket course. (Last time we played he won both rounds.)
Here's a picture taken on the course just after sunrise:
Here's another proof of birdie picture:
Yes, I know that it hardly counts as a proof of birdie because there is no video. It is the memories that count to me.
This is a hard basket to birdie and I have hit trees on it many times trying to get the best line from the drive from the tee. Throwing an understable disc backhand worked the best, but a lot can go wrong trying to throw an understable disc.
Later in the morning the fog was starting to lift and there were some moments of sunshine:
Shortly after that the rain clouds moved in again and it it was raining on me as I rode back on my e-bike.
