My first brick rocket stove!
I didnt do much all day, but I did manage to meet and ask the neighbour if I could take some bricks to make an oven with because I remembered a way which needs no cement to make one.
You start by laying out on level ground, 4 bricks set out like this.
Then I had to go find a metal grill which would be the tray where the wood would be fed into. At the main entrance is where the trash is and also a container for metal. It didnt take long to find a piece suitable either.
This is my first try like this and I will surely need to adjust some bits. The bricks here are a different size compared to bricks in the UK, so I think I need to make it a bit taller than I have already.
After the 4 bricks and the grill add another 4 brick layer. You then change the next layer of bricks to a 5 brick pattern. The two bricks not supported, support eachother by themselves which creates an opening.
After this stage you just keep stacking up the bricks..
..in the same way and it creates the stove
I will add more bricks to create more pull in the oven, but here how it looks now
THE PHONE IM USING IS LAGGING SO MUCH!
I didnt get it really going but I did light it, it should be higher though..
Have a great day or evening or both!
