Today was a fun day.
One of my besties (in the photo) threw a birthday party for her daughter. She turned 5 today (I am like whoa - we’re not getting old. 😂). My husband and I don’t have kids yet, but we went to this big play place and had a good time. We could not get into much because it was built for kids. But we hung out in the party room, got under the bubbles that should have been pointing at the kids on the dance floor, and laughed with all the adults.
Had a ball, and got a chance to reconnect with my bestie that I have not seen in a while.
You know, it is sad how we allow the busyness of life to get in the way of living life. We have not hung out with her and her husband in almost two years. That is just not acceptable, and I honestly need to do something about it. She is my oldest and dearest friend (since the 6th grade), and I really need to do better.
