It's funny how when you're looking down the lens it's as if the camera is acting as some sort of shield. I wouldn't usually get this close to a wasp cause you know what they're like, dancing around trying to sting you! I actually stepped on a wasps nest without realising over summer and got stung several times before I realised what was happening and as I ran away I looked behind me and there was several chasing me away it was crazy lol! Ted had a couple stuck in his fur that I had to flick away. Quite the adrenaline rush! So after experiencing that I wasn't too keen on getting close to any more wasps but with the camera in my hand I felt invincible! Quite pleased with this shot. At this size it almost looks like a bee, but I can assure you it's a wasp. It was actually on the same bush as last week's entry (the mint moth). Need to find more bushes like that, teeming with insects, to take some snaps for next week!
Looking forward to see all the other entries to #insectpub / #butterflyday hosted by :D
