A very, very short storm broke the heat briefly. Apart from the ten minutes of crazy rain, the only way to escape the infernal pressure cooker is to sup some cold liquid. Not the healthiest choice, but we are hours away from summer holiday 2019. So close we can taste it. People are starting to pack up ready for departure, some forever. In this job, the start of summer can be a bittersweet time. I've said goodbye to many good friends in this very week in June every year since 2008.
