Hey guys! It's been a week since my last post, so it was about time to log some steps again. Luckily the sun came out today so I could actually get a run in! I know many of you suck it up and run in all conditions, but I hide indoors most often when it gets really nasty.
In addition to logging some miles today, I'm also happy to report I'm pumped to be working on a new healthy morning routine. My pal is really good about setting goals and making checklists, so I'm trying to make more of a habit of doing that myself. Today was the third day recently that I started out the day making a list of things I wanted to get done today. I know, a lot of you folks probably already do this on a daily basis. I totally understand the power of writing things down, but somehow have neglected to realize how much of an impact it has on my daily routine.
I have 100% improved my productivity levels the days I have done this. I don't think of myself as a procrastinator, but I do need focus and goals so I don't waste my day away. It also feels really great to see all of those check marks at the end of the day!
Having a run on my list definitely pushed me to make sure I got out and did it. Nothing too fancy today, just a solid 4-miler. It does seem to take me quite a while to warm up and get in my groove anymore, but it always feels good when I finish. 😉
I will definitely start nailing down my running goals for 2019 so I can not only "just run" but also have a specific goal for each run. I know and
have written some great stuff on their own blogs and for
related to the importance of a training plan. Not that I can't just go out and enjoy the miles as is, but it's time to get back to having a fun goal to work towards!
Another great day on the books, so I hope it was good for you all, as well! Anyone else have some solid morning routines to make sure you make the most out of each day?
