Hello Everyone,
Welcome to my Wednesday report. In terms of activities I began with the daily commute to the office. The morning was cloudy and the air fresh and crisp.
The day went well and as usual gathered more steps at the lunch hour. This evening I ended the day with a walk around the neighborhood then the local park and back home.
The city is still tense from yesterday's events but life is pretty much back to normal and this is the last time I will ever talk about it.
So the dust settled and in the end we have 14dead and 700 rescued from the hotel and other buildings in the complex.
The terrorists largely failed, am sure they were aiming for more. Luckily the Australian embassy is across the road and the Australian special forces stepped in within 5minutes.
Then the Kenyan forces and some United States Marines were there in ten minutes thus largely containing the situation and saving many lives.
There were 4 terrorists. One of them blew himself up in the foyer of the hotel killing around 8 people. The other 3 were shot at the seventh floor where they were holed up shooting indiscriminately at civilians and anyone they came across. These guys were not joking I hear they were armed to the teeth with grenades and sophisticated weapons they came for collateral damage.
We can now breath a sigh of relief and move on. Thank you for your comments and well wishes on my post yesterday. Join me again tomorrow....bye for now💗
