what started as a rather sunny and pleasant day exploring dirt roads above granite continued as a rather sunny and pleasant day exploring dirt roads above granite until about 2pm, when it began to snow. i’d reached about 12k at that point so i sat in my car sulking for a while because i did not want it to snow.
apparently, sulking in one’s car is an effective method for manipulating the weather. after approximately 15 minutes of sulking, the snow suddenly stopped and i was able to continue my running/hiking without having to endure the devastating wetness and coldness associated with snow. in case you were wondering i am not a very tough or resilient person and the slightest bit of adversity will crush my spirit and prevent me from reaching my goals.
once i observed that the snow had stopped, i quit my sulking and continued my actifitivity for a couple more hours. shortly after i finished my actifitivity for the day, it began snowing again which i considered to be very good timing. as i type these words i am sitting in my car somewhere in the woods watching snow fall and wondering if i’ll be able to drive out tomorrow morning without getting stuck. i should probably actually drive out right now before too much snow accumulates but i really just don’t feel like it. i’m sure everything will work out fine.
