Hello everyone! It’s me again here to report my wonderful workout report card for today’s activities. I had a fantastic and amazing day with my activities as well as spending some time of mindfulness and of reflection at the so-called park.
This morning was nice when I awoke so, I went out jogging around the neighborhood for 2 hours and on the way home was a park that I’ve never been into though I’ve lived here for quite sometime now. Out of my curiosity I made it into this park and wanted to see what it looks like inside cause it’s in a secluded area. Once I got inside, there were nobody here, but me, so I was strolling in this park alone and also took some pictures. The park was all for me at this particular time of day. However, the place didn’t make me feel like I was in a park rather it made me feel like I was in a dense forest (and strange how coincidental this was). To me, this place is a nature trail for walkers and joggers. It was very quiet and solemn here; definitely a place for solitude. The whole time I could only feel and hear the sounds of winds, birds twitting, cool fresh air, sunlight peeking through the trees, splashing water from the pond with ducks and other creatures swimming in it, and also the rattle of leaves from the trees. I sat down in one of the benches posted there and listened quietly to the environment I was in. The feelings I got from this environment were refreshing, the solidarity with nature, and its peacefulness. I was feeling awed and just wandered around the big maze circle until I return back to where I entered. I was at peace during that time being alone with nature. I’ve passed by this place several times but never had the inkling to stop by until now. I wondered why.
Getting back home, I was still thinking and wondering and slowly letting the thoughts slip away. Once at home, the same routine, I got busy in the kitchen preparing for lunch, cleaning the kitchen, and washing dishes. I finally rested in the living watched the news, reading and responding to your Actifit postings.
Today, at noon we had a flurry of snow until around 7 this evening. Am glad it was only a flurry and it melted as soon as it hits the ground.
Come 5 pm I hopped on the treadmill and walked for 41 minutes adding more steps to my tracker. And that completed my workout activities for today.
