An unexpected new crop in my Farm in pots
It has been my habit to water my plants with the water I used in washing my veggies. A couple of weeks ago, I cooked monggo guisado for lunch so the water I washed the monggo with was used to water my plants.
Then a few days ago, I noticed grass like thingies growing in one of my plant pots. I usually would just remove any kind of grass I see growing woth my plants but I thought this one looked different. So I just let it grow. And today, I saw this.
I have rice growing in my backyard! Haha! I don't really know how to care for it and it's just 5 little strands. Who knows how far they'll go.
Almost ready for transfer
I have been watching my bitter gourd seedlings grow these past few days. And right now, I'm just waiting for a few more leaves to grow and I'll be moving them to their pots where they can grow even more! I am so excited, I have already prepared their recycled climbing pots. Yep. It's recycled.
I discourage buying those bottled water on single use plastic bottles but when we end up buying one when we go outside, I bring them home and wait until I cam recycle them. These PET bottles have been sitting in my junk corner for some time and now, they're gonna be home to my bitter gourd.
Can't wait to transfer the plants already! 😊😊😊
