I managed to pack up a metal detector and go for a couple of mile hike tonight. Well I was lucky enough to find $0.07 on the top of the bluff off behind a very old fire pit area the coins look like they're only from about the early 1980s. Here's a picture as the sun was going down of the campfire pit I found the coins off back by where all those branches are
I took a little longer than I anticipated looking around, and headed down in the dark with my headlamp. It was no problem and I got home just fine. Without that hike it would have been a very low step count day.
