It was a quiet rainy day. Severn Trent Water closed the road while they repaired a small leak outside my house. Water had been seeping through the pavement making a small puddle for weeks all through the dry spell.

I had been planning it for some time, putting away small amounts of money since early in the year, and buying some steem through the summer. I didn't plan to get to this stage quite so soon, I thought it would take me longer to save the money. I also knew I wasn't going to be around much during the next few weeks, so it seemed a bit daft to power up.

I've also changed my curation plans and, after playing fast and loose for a week or two, I've settled back into my previous routine. About half my votes are automated, I'm continuing to support accounts that create quality posts and contribute to the community in a wide variety of ways. I also support some community accounts. The other half of my votes I'll use for manual curation.
