I usually go to the gym before work on a Friday but I decided not to as I’m doing parkrun tomorrow and thought I really could do with a rest day before the half I’m doing Sunday. I’m feeling really nervous about Sunday as I haven’t done much running for a few weeks and I’m starting to have self doubt. My youngest boy is running it too and he has never run that distance so I’m worrying about him too. He’s either going to do really well and make me feel worse about myself or really struggle and I do badly as I’ll want to stay with him to get him round so he at least finishes.
Why do we sign up for these races? They are so stressful!
