Another two inches of heavy wet snow!
Winter is just hanging on, and now we are getting wet snow. My new spiked chain crampons were delivered and I took them out for a test hike!😊
These are deep spikes, and on very wet snow they tend to get get ice build up between the chains and the spikes. This is a problem I have experienced with snowshoe’s also in late Spring, the warmer the snow the more problematic.🤔
I might need to file some height off of the spikes if this continues......🙄
The temperature is dropping again, at the moment it’s 28 degrees so the snow will be around for a while 🥶
I’m just going to kick back and enjoy the rest of the evening by the wood stove!🤗
