St. Joseph Turkey Trot 5K! 22:30 official. Annual tradition since 2012. Bigger race. Have a bad habit of going out too fast. Held back. Worked my way up. 41. Good temp. About half way tripped on loose gravel. Twisted ankle! Shooting pain! Caught myself. Didn't fall.
Not far ahead. Saw the 28 year old stud. Outkicked me twice in 5ks this year. Still he was the incentive I needed! I didn't come this far to only come this far! Ankle throbbing. Caught my nemesis about half mile from end. Beat him by 3 seconds. Not my fastest race. But man that felt good! Got 2nd place medal. Checked results later. Actually earned 1st in AG! Even "bad" runs, like bad days, can get better! #holidaystreak
