Downtown but still by the water

For this evenings acifit post I share some photos taken with my iPhone

Today I decided to listen to my wife who said yesterday as I fell asleep on the couch while watching a movie, that I should somedays sleep in and not get up at 4Am as I do most days and head out for a walk and taking photos, so this morning I woke at4 ish and decided to lay in and try to get some more sleep, now I may have dozed off a little bit but I seemed to be checking the time every 15 or 20 Minutes and eventually climbed out of bed at 6Am and went for a walk around downtown where I got the shots for today's post;

Funny thing is I swear I feel more tired today after trying to sleep in than I normally do, but anyway onto today's walk and photos

I walked downdown and by the river, this first shot is on the walkway by Lisman Landing

behind me in the first shot is the docks which I walked down by and got this next shot of one of the working boats.

My walk took me over the Hotchkiss bridge which is always nice at this time of year with all the flower posts, this coming weekend this bridge and area will be busy, its Oyster Fest on this coming Saturday the big event here in Milford and the town will be packed, and hence I will probably stay away from this area then.

While on the bridge I looked down into the river and noticed it was full of bunker fish, I have only seen it with so many of them in the river once before, they ended up draining a lot of oxygen from the river and hundred if not thousands of the fish died and floated up to the top of the water, and the area smelt terrible, I suspect the same may happen again as I noticed two or three dead fish this morning

Speaking of fish, this guy was busy preparing his nets and fishing gear on the boat, I am not sure if this was preparing before going out fishing or cleaning up after fishing
