A morning after a spring rain is a great time for hike in the foothills.
Old Foresthill Road with the 730'(220m) high Foresthill Bridge in the background greet you at the beginning of the Lake Clementine Trail. The trail is about 4 miles(6.4km)roundtrip.

I'm actually surprised that the Samyang 14mm f/2.8 manual focus lens actually can get subject separation; the lens seems to have very good image quality and is a great value at $268 dollars.
click on image above to enlargeStill being new to super wide angle photography, I still amazed at how the wide angle lens stretches perspective. I should have change the angle to have the reflection closer to the foreground; I'm learning though!

click on image above to enlargeThe payoff of the Lake Clementine Trail is viewing the dam before turning back. My lens was covered with mist from the water cascading over the dam. Next time I'll bring rope so I can get closer to the water. The Samyang 14mm f/2.8 seems to be a good performer; I just need to frame shots better. This trail has easy terrain to traverse with panoramic views of the American River. I'll be back trekking this trail soon!
