It is a sphinx moth. There are many species of these huge moths and I think this is Modest (Pachysphyinx modesta). Good for you that saw one. I am lucky if I see one sphinx moth per year. Great capture of those amazing wings. Thanks for using #insectpub and #butterflyday tag Hive account@nutman. : )
