I think another thing hive has over other social media is that it rewards interactions more. Both in the literal folks getting upvoted in comments way but also in the more likely to have positive interactions way. I've had delightful conversations with people in comments which is in my experience incredibly rare on other social media. Except maybe reddit, but that has a high chance of going weird or terrible.
