Three weeks ago, I wrote a post about "Going to My Callback". I found out last Friday Aug 25 that I booked the job.
I auditioned for this project currently named "Eggplant Emoji". And due to non disclosure protocols, that is all I can tell you.
I've had a good year so far, having booked 4 jobs out of 28 or so auditions. That is a really good booking average. Most actors starting out will book maybe 1 in 30 or 40 auditions. But I've been doing this for 21 years.
I still read for smaller roles. For a few years prior to this one, I was lamenting the fact that I'd been doing it as long as I have, and was still relegated to one and two line parts. This year 2017 I decided to embrace that I'm being seen for these roles. And I acknowledge that I'm good at reading for them. For me, they are low pressure/low stakes, because after all, it's just one or two lines! And since I've just owned that I'm being seen for these kinds of parts, I've been booking them.
And I have a callback for something else I read for a few weeks ago. So the train is still rolling.
Thanks for getting down this far. I love including photos and images to convey my thoughts. It's something that I find juices my creative flow.
WARM HUG!
