Hi everyone, I did say I was going to try to pick a different topic rather than addiction but after today I need a little pick me up in the form of some inspiration from the good people in the Hive community. So today I went to get my daily medication just like I do every day nothing different or new. After I had been in the chemist I went to the free book shop got myself a few books on computer science and sat down on a bench and started to read them. Along comes this man and said "now then mate" and put his hand out for respect I didn't remember this guy and he knew this he said "you don't remember me do you" which I replied "no mate" then he began telling me where we knew each other from " you came into Armley prison Leeds about 7 years ago and you looked really poorly you were about 5 stone wet through I worked on the servery and I gave you 2 plates of chips extra because you needed them also I sent some tobacco up to your cell" it clicked in my head then who this guy was.
Then he started asking me about how I was doing in regards to drugs e.t.c I told him I am still on meds but as far as any drugs are concerned I don't do anything I don't even smoke. He then went on to tell me that he is also clean but if I wanted I could go have a smoke (heroin) with him to which I replied "mate I just told you I don't do it anymore and I can't afford to get back into that I would lose everything I have built up" he then went on to say "I didn't mean get back into it just have a little smoke" no thanks I said I got up and left.
These people are horrendous he made out like he actually cared about my welfare but then went on to try and get me to have a smoke with him. He knew exactly what he was doing he knew that me having a "smoke" as he put it would lead to me getting back my addiction Heroin can not be just "smoked" and left alone for someone with an addictive personality and he knows this I believe he also sells the drug and seen me as a chance of a meal ticket. With me dripping in gold and an expensive watch on my wrist he knew it would all get pawned in if he could just get me to have that one little smoke.
I know what some people's agenda is but imagine that was someone with a little less determination and backbone than me they may have caved into his request to go for a "smoke" how is anyone ever meant to sort their life out when the devil seems to follow them everywhere he won't beat me nor will his little minions I have far too much to lose and I have the big man upstairs on my side so take your Heroin Mr and shuv it where the sun don't shine have a nice day lol.
