The Adjective
The adjective is the kind of word that accompanies the noun, with which it coincides in gender and number. From the semantic point of view, the adjective can express qualities (high, beautiful), states (single, sad), attitudes (active, idealistic), possibilities (probable, incredible), origin or nationality (Venezuelan, Valencian).
Classification
There are two types of adjectives the specifiers and the explanatory or epithets.
1.- Specifying Adjectives: Adjectives that add a new quality to the noun to distinguish it from the group of realities to which it belongs, for example, new coat, shocked car, squared notebook, etc.
2.- Explanatory adjectives or epithets: These are the adjectives that indicate a quality of the already known noun because it belongs to the noun meaning that they accompany, that is, that their presence is not necessary. For example, white snow, green grass, gentle sheep, etc.
