"Words of Encouragement are Words of Empowerment"
Photography by Jeronimo Rubio
Good day Steemians,
Today’s poetry are about lessons of empowerment. About the way we need to bring hope and strength into other people’s lives. About the way we can help others to succeed and build faith in all around us. It doesn’t take much effort and it takes very little time each day.
A simple hello or good morning to friends and co-workers. Telling our children they can accomplish anything with some perseverance and faith in themselves. Telling your wife each day how beautiful she is and how we could never have made it this far without her. Telling your husband what a good man he is and how well he protects our family and how hard life would be without him.
Telling friends in life how much they mean to us and how valuable their friendship is to us. Helping others we don’t even know. Saying hello to others we don’t know and wishing them a great day. And so on and so forth. These are simple task we can do each day and yet, they are so powerful to others. More than you could ever imagine.
This first poem is entitled, “The work”. It is about the work we must do each day. Work we do for ourself and others. Necessary work than must be done on a daily basis. And the legacy we will leave behind. I hope you enjoy it my Steemian brothers and sisters.

“The Work”
When waking up this morning,
did you smile and greet the day?
Did you cast a bright hello to all your friends along your way?
Did you tell the ones you love,
how they make you feel inside?
Did you wish them a good day as you were saying your goodbyes?
Did you greet your fellow workers?
Did you help them with a task?
Or just tended to your own work. And you never even asked.
Did you call your mom today,
and ask her if shes well?
Did you plan a trip for Sunday with all your stories to tell?
Did you hang out with your friends,
and say how you love just being their friend?
And you treasure every moment that you get to spend with them
Well this is what we all should do.
This is how you make things right.
This is how you make people see the power of love and light.
This is how you make them see,
all the love you have to give.
And guide them on their way to much better way to live.
So make your list right now.
Of each task you must to endeavor.
And when your not around this is how you’ll be remembered.

This next poem is about the strength we must keep within our self. The faith and love we must always find within our own heart and then spread it out into the world. To love someone else we must first love our self. Then we are capable of loving another.
We must remain focused always. Focused on the present and the future. Staying focused on the present helps us to stay grounded. To know our goals we have set for our self and to strive through to complete them for our future.
This next poem is entitled, “Never say no”. I hope you enjoy it my Steemian brothers and sisters.

“Never Say No”
Have you ever been told it couldn’t be done?
But you had to give it a shot.
Well, no matter what the end result at least you never gave up.
Have you ever been told the jobs to hard,
and that you might hurt yourself if you try?
But you went and proved them wrong and showed them how you fly.
Have you ever been deep into research,
but wasn’t finding what you need?
But your persistence overcame and got you where you need to be.
Have you ever been feeling a little down,
And needed to be alone for awhile?
But all the time your feeling this way you always kept your smile.
Well good for you, you have shined through,
And made a great choice around others.
Now you’ve become a great example, for all your sisters and brothers.
So keep on moving forward,
Never give and follow through,
Never say no, it can’t be done, and stay strong for those around you.
Lift them high in the sky,
And never let them fall.
And you will a great mentor if they ever happen to call.
Stay focused in your great mind,
Stay positive with a very strong hand.
And spread your magnificent power to all across this land.

And this last poem is about words we will speak to each other. My motto is “words of encouragement are, words of empowerment”. I have lived by this rule for most of my life and this is why I write poetry about many subjects like love, life, government and so on.
I love to write about things that can effect others in a positive way. Help people to think and grow. Help people to feel love or loved. Help people to believe in themselves and others. Try to unite the people of this world so we can help each other make this world to a better place to live. Empower people so they can empower others. And most important, help the world create a better standard way of living for everyone.
This last poem is entitled, “An encouraging word”. Peace and harmony is in reach for all. But we need to work together in order to achieve it for all. Have a blessed day Steemians. Love, Jeronimo Rubio.

“An Encouraging Word”
Every day is a new day to live,
A new day to make things new,
A new day to start all over again,
A new day to see things through.
To touch the hearts of others,
To feed them words of encouragement.
To feed their minds with sight,
And become words of empowerment.
Raise your voice and be heard,
Rise up against all that’s bad.
Give hope to all on your journey,
And bring joy to all that is sad.
Show each how great they can be,
Tell them how beautiful they are.
Show them the power of unity,
And as one we will always go far.
Bring faith to those who have little.
Bring strength to those who are weak.
Bring sight for all of us to see better,
Bring beauty to the small and the meek.
Spread the love each day,
Spread everything you can soul.
And paradise will spring from the earth,
Then we can reach our heavenly goal.
To make the world a much better place,
A place were we all can be free,
A place of wonder and joy,
To live in peace and harmony.
