Got her back today after few days in the shop :)
Long story short, was in my more dusty Bangkok storage for 1 year and got hauled down to my new location on the coast here in Chon Buri just month ago. After previous service and cable replacement, everything else was falling apart - including skipping gears, jumping chain, just when you push hard on the crank to create a torque for crossing a main road ... a Thai main road. Yeah man, lethal weapon IV right there.
Shop Time!
So it was, here's a quick rundown of what's been changed..
- New Chain
- New top derailer gear
- New Gears/Cogs front
- New Gears/Cogs rear
- New Crank
That's 5 in all :) Now push down hard as you like in high gear, no more jumping or twisting chain.

It says ... "Hyperdrive" ... canny wait to try it!
New set of rear cogs
Ultra strong and higher torque rated crank
Last one!
Well, better get out and ride! Just a few things to do now like charging batteries for lights, and ensuring the power plant is fueled up — me! Perhaps also, to check out some of the off-road MTB (Mountain Bike) cycling/rural dirt track riding/explorer guides and groups around Pattaya, Chon Buri and Sattahip — Keen to hear from them!
Stage 2 Overhaul - bare metal powder coating at a local cottage business, TBA!!!!
Almost forgot the best part - Thanks to Speedy Bike Shop for all the great workmanship and coming in at an incredibly low price https://facebook.com/speedybikeshop
