Grab your maps(Phones/tablets), Grab your pens, Grab your hiking boots! It's time to re visit geocaching, I myself had not thought of It for years Until Pokemon go Brought GPS games back into the scene. I believe It was my dad that truly introduced it to me, this was back when he was into metal detecting. At that time there were maybe a dozen caches in a smaller town & a city only had less than 100 per square mile, now it appears to have steadily grown to 10x or 15x that number in a few locations I've looked into.
Now to bring it back I must stress why this has come back to my attention now, well I'm in need to get in shape!! simple enough. I am wanting to incorporate a daily walk, jog run, hike etc... into my day to day...I need that cardio! I looked into Pokemon go again(nope still not worth it), there was a few zombie based running games, some tracker apps & other goal based games but none had compared to the memories of mystery, adventure & achievement that came with geocaching.
So getting down to business I've decided to get back into it & I will be keeping a log here for my health gains/benefits & my finds/photographs along the way!! I look forward to being able to have more than just babel to post. I look forward to getting out of my norm & back into nature/adventure!!
I am in Idaho, I plan already to cache in Oregon, Washington & Utah by the end of the year & if I can make it work I would love to cache again in Wisconsin (visiting for my brothers wedding) back where it started where I'm from & where I had cached the very first time.
I would love to make it to Missouri as well to visit with my wonder full madre ! I feel like the caching would be more interesting in a lesser populated area such as the Ozarks.
Only time will tell & Only time can mold.
Wish me luck & stay tuned!! Will have some interesting results I'm sure!
